I’m Nancy  K. Baumgarten, MLA, Director of Profound Awareness Institute,  and mother to a clairaudient daughter.
 I’ve been assisted by my 35-year study of metaphysics, and sacred geometry to raise my daughter’s psychic and gifted capacities with discernment and balance.  As a landscape architect I’ve come to acknowledge my own inner connection with the plant and planetary forces of nature.  Presenter on Expanded Awareness for kids,  I’m currently developing a program for teaching the human SoulMind powers & 55+ senses for teachers, home school parents, and therapists. Spiritual Healing Development   Hands of Light: A guide to Healing through the Human Energy  Field, by Barbara Ann Brennan (1987) The seminal text on all aspects of energy healing.  Hands on teaching tool with ample colorful diagrams.  The author is a therapist, healer and former NASA research scientist.   Wheels of Light: Chakras, Auras and the Healing Energy of the Body, by Rosalyn L. Bruyere (1994)          A most impressive blend of extensive research and expert personal observation, this book is an absolute must for anyone interested in this subject.  - Meditation Magazine   Infinite Mind: The Science of the Human Vibrations of Consciousness, by Valerie Hunt.  (1996).  Presents the first comprehensive human energy field model based on 25 years of sophisticated electronic field research and extensive clinical studies.  It clarifies metaphysical deductions from physics and evaluates clinical suppositions.   What Doctors Don’t Tell You: The Truth About the Dangers of Modern Medicine, by Lynne McTaggart  (1998)  Award-winning investigative journalist.  Did you know that some common "cures" come with serious, life-threatening risks, or may do nothing at all? This book contains vital information you need to know to take charge of your health - before you see your doctor. Includes information on: cholesterol-lowering medications; high-strength asthma inhalers; steroids; antibiotics; and Ritalin.   Electromagnetic Fields: A Consumer’s Guide to the Issues and How to Protect Ourselves, by Blake Levitt. (1995).   The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying, by Sogyal Rinpoche (1992).   Light Emerging: The Journey of Personal Healing, by Barbara Ann Brennan (1993).  Research physicist and founder of her own school, Brennan is a leading healer. She provides here a useful introduction to the scientific background behind her laying-on-of-hands technique. Brennan offers an explanation of her healing perspective and its use in conjunction with medical therapy, the stages and importance of self-care, and healing relationships through auric field interaction and higher spiritual realities. She encourages taking personal responsibility for one's health through a holistic approach and consultation with nontraditional specialists as well as a physician. This self-help book may become a classic. Highly recommended. From Library Journal   Vibrational Medicine: The #1 Handbook of Subtle-Energy Therapies, Richard Gerber, M.D. (2001).  An encyclopedic treatment of energetic healing, covering acupuncture, homeopathy, electrotherapy, chakras and much more.  Often sites research, though unfortunately most is from the 70’s and 80’s even though much useful research has been done since.
